Welcome
to the four Season Resort on beautiful Lake Talon. Lake Talon is 8 miles
long with a surface area of 3470 acres. Camp Conewango has a size of 32
acres and 1200 feet of waterfront. Surrounded by Crown Land and being part
of the Mattawa River Provincial Park we have much to offer.
There
are clear lakes and remote wilderness areas. For those who enjoy wildlife:
Deer, bear, wolf, fox and all the small creatures are our neighbours. You
can paddle a canoe along historic waterways and follow the same route taken
by the voyageurs. For the fishing enthusiasts Lake Talon has always a surprise
for you. From our door you can hike, ride a mountain bike or ATV, along
miles of trails. In the evening enjoy a campfire with your friends and
listen to the loon.
Autumn
is special in the Near North. It is the season of long, golden days, a
time of quiet reflection. You will love the bright colours of the trees
on Songis Road, around the camp and the lake. For the hunter or explorer
this is deer country with miles of trails and logging roads to see the
wildlife in their natural environment.
In
the winter the snowmobile trails are groomed to our door. The area is well
known for early and late snowfall. Our cottages are winterized and you
can start your sled in front of the door.
